The biggest hurdle I faced when attempting to sell products online was identifying what would actually sell VS what I thought would sell
What I mean by this is, I assumed that I could somehow "think up" ideas that would translate into winning products.
..I felt like it wouldn't really be "my product" unless I had some creative input into the product. In reality it was just a vanity thing..
Once I got over that frustrating (and costly) obstacle - I started making headway. For example, if I found a printed coffee-mug that people were raving about or sharing online, I would design a similar version on a teeshirt and then promote it to the same raving group of people..
I did the same for jewelry, household goods, gadgets, and nick-nacks ... It worked well, but the hours of research I had to put in for 1 successful product were tiresome. It was not going to be manageable ...
So I went back to the drawing board and looked at the most visited, most trusted eCommerce websites and platforms. I needed some way of knowing what the newest, most viral products were at any given time.
I studied their official tracking codes as if I was a spy in the cold war looking for any tell.. Until one day I stumbled across a secret way that blew my hair back!
I found out that I could pull Real-Time user interactions from some of the biggest websites... and then I could search the data for telltale signs of hot new products and trends ...
I tested out my findings on other websites too.. and discovered that this secret method reaped more winning products in a day than I ever got in a year!
When I saw how powerful this system could be, I jumped in and invested over a year of development, energy and money. I pushed everyday to make it better, easier to use and more powerful than anything on the market...
